Handling Instructions:
- As soon as you receive our OK Farms Heart of Palm, please store in the refrigerator - 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius) is ideal.
- If necessary, remove the outer sheath of the stem portion by slicing lengthwise with a knife.
- The most tender portions are the young leaves at the top, The actual heart inside the stem and the large base portion can be used in a similar fashion as bamboo shoots and does not require par-boiling.
- The firm and crispy texture is best retained when enjoyed raw.
- All Portions are delicious raw, lightly cooked or marinated.
- Wrapped in cling film, unused portion and may be stored under refrigeration for up to two weeks.
- Ok Farms' Heart of Palm is hand-trimmed before shipping, very little if any additional trimming is needed.
